HIROMI MURAI
Hiromi Murai (1999, born in China)'s work is a quest for inner peace in today's materialistic world and uses the tradition of artist as alchemist to balance of the mind and body; a unison that creates a meditative state to paint - the painting being the space in which to meditate.
Using minerals, metallic pigments, ash, wax, and botanical ephemera she uses materials that connect her to the earth; the idea of dissolving and becoming aligned with nature.
